Connect payment providers

Use your real PayPal, Stripe, Mollie or Whop fees in your profit.

Shopify Payments fees are read automatically. If customers pay through PayPal, Stripe, Mollie or Whop, connect that account and Mungo uses your real average fee instead of a rate you type in. The key you create can only read payments; Mungo can never move money or refund.

Mungo measures the average fee (as % of the payment, fixed fees included) over the last 60 days and applies it to every Shopify order paid with that provider. The Connections card shows the measured percentage after the next Refresh on the Profit Dashboard.

PayPal

  1. Log in at developer.paypal.com with your PayPal business account and switch to Live.
  2. Apps & Credentials → Create App (type Merchant), name it "Mungo".
  3. In the app's settings tick Transaction search and save. New apps can need up to 9 hours before this works.
  4. Copy the Client ID and Secret into Mungo → Connections → PayPal.

Stripe (your own Stripe account)

  1. dashboard.stripe.com → Developers → API keys → Create restricted key, name it "Mungo".
  2. Set Balance (balance transactions) to Read; leave everything else on None.
  3. Copy the key (starts with `rk_live_`) into Mungo → Connections → Stripe.

Mollie

  1. my.mollie.com → Developers → Organization access tokens → Create token, name it "Mungo".
  2. Give it only Balances: read (`balances.read`).
  3. Copy the token (starts with `access_`) into Mungo → Connections → Mollie.

Whop

  1. whop.com → your company dashboard → Developer → create an API key named "Mungo" that may read payments (`payment:basic:read`).
  2. Copy the API key and your company ID (starts with `biz_`) into Mungo → Connections → Whop.

Good to know

  • Use an account that mainly handles this store's payments; payments from elsewhere also count toward the average.
  • Connected providers replace their manual rate in the Profit setup. Providers you don't connect keep using that rate.
  • Error after connecting? The card turns red; check the key and its permission and connect again.
